19 Apr #WeAreChangemakers #WWT2107 conference
Wonder Women Tech is an organization that produces year-round programming and national and international conferences that highlight, educate, and celebrate women and diversity in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math), innovation and entrepreneurship. There are further conferences in LA and Washington later this year.
The organisation is unique in that it creates partnerships with governments, mayors, council members, city officials, national and international organizations, nonprofits, and other initiatives, and focuses on economic and social innovation as a gateway towards creating a global impact and building solutions for a better world.
It is our shared purpose that brought together Contracts IT Recruitment Consulting and Wonder Women Tech and I’m thrilled to have been invited to join the Advisory board for UK relations in 2016.
Contracts IT Recruitment Consulting connects fantastic technologists with the most innovative organisations internationally, promoting difference in the world of technology. It supports organisations with holistic programs to impact technical & workforce diversity. We have continued to work with international governments and the private sector to drive policies forward and to discuss how we can create a shift in tech diversity to bring about cultural change.
I am delighted to welcome Ed Vaizey MP as one of our keynote speakers at our two day conference. From 2010 to 2016 Ed Vaizey was the Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries, with responsibilities in the Departments for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS). He will provide some interesting insights into the government digital framework and key industries, the role of Women in Tech and the importance of promoting STEAM (Science, Technology,Engineering, Art and Maths) across government and the business sector. A former barrister, Ed Vaizey MP is also a regular media columnist and political commentator
Our Interactive day will explore the spectrum of new and emerging technology and its societal impact. We’ll be live streaming throughout the day!
We’re also looking to have fun at our speed recruiting and speed mentoring sessions not to mention our After party in the Buckingham Arms.
