08 Oct Chambers launches inaugural European Leadership & Diversity Summit on October 15th in Dublin
Having researched global diversity in the legal profession since 2012, it has been an utmost priority to bring the discussion closer to home, to Europe.
Having worked as a solicitor in the UK for a number of years, my passion for diversity comes from seeing the massive change that is needed to make the profession more diverse. I worked as a solicitor in firms where there was a reasonable presence of women but minority lawyers had very limited visibility.
There are positive signs and concerted efforts for change from law firms. Their client companies are certainly at the heart of driving that change. However, statistics show that on average, there is very little advancement in the number of diverse lawyers reaching the most senior positions.
Chambers and Partners are working in association with Eversheds to explore the business case for diversity and discuss practical solutions in how to foster diverse leaders, launch meaningful networks and combat unconscious biases.
Our inaugural European Leadership and Diversity Summit takes place on Thursday, October 15th at the Conrad Hotel, Dublin.
